Retouching and Restoration
Photo Retouching and Photo Restoration are terms used by photographic artists to describe the process of improving or changing a photograph by adding detail or removing flaws. We offer three levels of image enhancement. Below, you will find more information regarding our services and charges.
Standard Correction and Editing: All digital files we create from your slides, photos, or negatives receive standard correction and editing unless you have told us to preserve the original photograph without alteration. Standard correction and editing is an automated process performed by special software during the scanning process. Standard Correction and Editing improves color, contrast, and lighting and removes minor dust and scratches. Again, this service is included at no extra charge.
Custom Color Correction and Editing: We offer Custom Color Correction and Editing as an option to all our services. When you select custom color correction and editing, we manually improve your photographs refining the color, contrast, and lighting as well as removing redeye, minor facial blemishes, and dust or scratches. Photo Retouching/Restoration: Some photographs benefit from additional retouching and restoration. Photographs that are torn, damaged, or stained will require more extensive restoration than our custom color correction and editing services provides. The examples below will illustrate some of our retouching and restoration services. Please call to discuss your retouching/restoration project and pricing.
